Delivery, Shipping & Payment Methods

 Delivery Time

Before you order, think about this. These pochade boxes don't come from a factory. I make each one by hand.

Occasionally I'll have an order change, and might have a box or two on hand, but it's rare. At this time my lead times are running from 4-6 weeks. Just drop an email my way and I'll let you know what the wait time is at the moment. Likely if you need a box for that workshop in two weeks I'm not going to be able to do it. I do my best, but quality has to come first...

If you're an instant gratification person this might be a problem, obviously. There are companies out there who do have factories in China and inventory. In my opinion my boxes are better, but it's your choice. I will do everything possible to make what you want in a timely fashion, with the highest possible quality.

With years of woodworking experience behind me I can tell you that a well made, well designed tool is constant source of delight. I strive to make that tool, and I use what I make. Painting is a challenge — what you paint with should be easy.

Holiday Orders & Gift Certificates:

I may be able to juggle my schedule to build a box by your holiday deadline. If not we can send a specially designed gift certificate to you or the recipient. The gift certificate will let the recipient know that a pochade box is being made for them and the approximate shipping date. Just drop an email my way to inquire about this option.

Shipping

DOMESTIC:

All shipping within the lower 48 states of the U.S. is by FedEx Ground and is a Flat rate of $20.

Alaska, Hawaii and APO addresses will vary depending on the type of service you choose during check out.  You can choose between UPS or USPS services.

INTERNATIONAL:

All international shipping is by UPS or USPS. During checkout you get to choose which shipping service you prefer and how quickly you would like it delivered after it has been built.  Currently I have removed France and New Zealand from the shipping destinations due to repeated problems with those countries’ customs mishandling or damaging boxes.  I’m just too small a business to absorb those risks.

Please note that you will probably be charged your country's duties and taxes. Often this will amount to nearly 20% additional cost, but the variation is big and I have no idea how much it will be or if it will even be charged. Every country handles this differently so it is important you are prepared to work within your country's system to pay these levied taxes. Canadian's read this information before ordering.

Finally, you should be aware that if customs opens your package to look at the box they mostly likely will NOT package it back up the way I did when I shipped it to you. This could cause damage to your pochade box during transit from customs to you. I've only had a few damaged in this way over 15 years but it is a risk to consider.

Payment

I try to be flexible to everyones needs and preferences. The website allows you to choose the best payment option for your situation:

Credit Card: We accept ALL major credit cards, Pay Pal, Apple and Amazon Pay through our website. If you use a credit card or on of the other pay options at the time of placing your order it will be charged instantly even though your pochade box may not arrive for 4-6 weeks later.

Custom Payment Option: The website allows for a "Custom Payment Option" if you would rather be invoiced, pay with check or Money Order.

Invoice: You will be  invoiced one week before your box is ready to be shipped. I will invoice you through Pay Pal so that you can pay with a credit card, Pay Pal, Amazon or Apple Pay.

Check or Money Order: If you choose to pay by check (only if you're in the US) I'll hold onto it until I'm ready to ship your paintbox then I'll deposit it. Please send the payment to:
