Delivery Time & Payment Methods

 Delivery Time

Before you order, think about this. These pochade boxes don't come from a factory. I make each one by hand.

Occasionally I'll have an order change, and might have a box or two on hand, but it's rare. My lead times typically run from two to six weeks. Just drop an email my way and I'll let you know what the wait time is at the moment. Likely if you need a box for that workshop in two weeks I'm not going to be able to do it. I do my best, but quality has to come first...

If you're an instant gratification person this might be a problem, obviously. There are companies out there who do have factories in China and inventory. In my opinion my boxes are better, but it's your choice. I will do everything possible to make what you want in a timely fashion, with the highest possible quality.

With years of woodworking experience behind me I can tell you that a well made, well designed tool is constant source of delight. I strive to make that tool, and I use what I make. Painting is a challenge — what you paint with should be easy.

Holiday Orders & Gift Certificates:

I may be able to juggle my schedule to build a box by your holiday deadline. If not we can send a specially designed gift certificate to you or the recipient. The gift certificate will let the recipient know that a pochade box is being made for them and the approximate shipping date. Just drop an email my way to inquire about this option.

Payment

I try to be flexible to everyones needs and preferences. The website allows you to choose the best payment option for your situation:

Credit Card: We accept all major credit cards through our website. If you use a credit card at the time of placing your order it will be charged instantly even though your pochade box may not arrive for 4-8 weeks later. If you do not want your credit card to be charged until I ship your box then choose the "Custom Payment Option" and I will invoice you through Pay Pal a few days before shipping and you can then pay with a credit card. Another option is to call me with your credit card information so I can run it when I ship your box.

Custom Payment Option: The website allows for a "Custom Payment Option" if you would rather be invoiced or pay with check or Money Order.

Invoice: You will be  invoiced several days before your box is ready to be shipped. I will invoice you through Pay Pal so that you can pay with a credit card or Pay Pal.

Check or Money Order: If you choose to pay by check (only if you're in the US) I'll hold onto it until I'm ready to ship your paintbox then I'll deposit it. Please send the payment to:

International Orders

CANADA — After trying several methods (especially to Canada), it seems like USPS is the best way to go. As an example, a Bitterroot would cost about $65 insured. On arrival, you will also be charged sales tax(PST/HST) by the Canadian government which is almost 20%. However, there are no brokerage fees, and no duty.

Shipping time can be up to 3 weeks depending on how backed up customs is, but usually 6-10 business days is what the post office estimates.

Finally, you should be aware that if customs opens your package to look at the box mostly likely they will NOT package it back up the way I did when I shipped it to you. This may cause damage to your pochade box during transit from customs to you. I've only had a few damaged in this way over 10 years but it is a risk to consider.

OTHER COUNTRIES—We ship USPS International Priority and prices range from $80 - $120 depending on where you are and the final weight of your order. Please note that you will probably be charged your country's duties and taxes. We have no idea how much they will be or if it will be charged... every country handles this differently so it is very important you are prepared to work with your country's system.
